The transfer window has only been open a matter of weeks but there has already been significant signs of movement both in the Premier League and beyond.

Manchester City and Liverpool have invested big in their forward lines, while Arsenal have also been busy having confirmed the arrival of Fabio Vieira. The business does not look like ending there, though.

Sadio Mane is now a Bayern Munich player and Chelsea ‘s record signing Romelu Lukaku is on the verge of a return to former club Inter Milan. In the meantime, former Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been linked with a shock return to the Gunners.

Torres transfer battle

Tottenham and Manchester United both want to sign Pau Torres from Villarreal this summer, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The centre-back, 25, is believed to have a £52million release clause. Both Premier League clubs are reportedly hopeful of getting Torres for a cheaper transfer fee.

Chelsea stars make their point

Chelsea players have made it clear that Richarlison is the player they should be signing this summer.

Romelu Lukaku’s Stamford Bridge exit is expected to be announced imminently, with a number of attackers touted as potential replacements.

They include Man City’s Raheem Sterling and Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele, but reports suggest it’s the Everton forward that the dressing room want to play with most.

Neymar says no to Newcastle

L’Equipe via GFFN report that Neymar’s PSG contract will be automatically extended t the summer of 2027, despite reports emerging that he could leave the club.

The Brazilian’s current contract ends in 2025, but he will trigger a two-year extension if he remains at the Parc des Princes at the start of next month.

Neymar has been linked with a surprise exit in recent days, with reports only being intensified after president Nasser Al-Khelaifi refused to confirm he will stick around.

Newcastle United are reported to be interested, but the Brazilian is “resolutely against” joining the Magpies, according to the report.

PSG set to appoint new manager

Reports in France claim PSG have now reached an agreement with Christophe Galtier to become their new manager.

Mauricio Pochettino’s departure hasn’t been officially confirmed, but his 18 months in charge has come to an end, with the Nice boss now set to replace him.

Galtier has agreed a two-year deal and will be paid less than Pochettino, who failed to reach the Champions League semi finals in his two seasons in charge.

Man Utd eye ex-Liverpool guru

Manchester United are reportedly plotting an audacious move for the man behind so much of Liverpool ’s recent success, Michael Edwards.

He departed Liverpool at the end of the season and MailOnline report that United are now hoping to tempt him to Manchester, with a view to taking up a role in their ongoing recruitment reshuffle.

Forest close to former Liverpool striker

The Athletic report that former Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi is flying into England, in order to complete a club-record £17.5m move to the City Ground.

Forest are set make the former Liverpool striker their first signing since promotion and have beaten the likes of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig to his signature.

Man City ‘agree personal terms’ with Cucurella

Manchester City have taken a significant step towards signing Marc Cucurella after agreeing personal terms with the Brighton & Hove Albion left-back.

The Citizens want to sign Cucurella, 23, for a fee between £25-30 million this summer, just one year after the Seagulls snapped him up from Getafe for nearly half that price.

Multiple reports claim that City have come to agreement with the Barcelona academy product, leaving the deal up to the two clubs.

Lewandowski expected to stay at Bayern

Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn insists nothing has changed with Robert Lewandowski and they expect him at the start of pre-season training. The Polish striker has one year remaining on his deal and hopes to join Barcelona, but Bayern are refusing to budge – even after completing the signing of Sadio Mane.

“There is no news with Robert. He has a contract until 2023 and we are waiting for him on the first day of (pre-season) training.”

“Our responsibility is to ensure we have the most success possible,” Kahn added. “Lewandowski has shown what he can do and add to the team. He has a contract until 2023. We are not worried about anything else.”

Wolves to lose out on Argentine starlet

Benfica look set to win the race for highly-rated River Plate midfielder Enzo Fernandez, despite interest from Wolves.

The Molineux outfit sent representatives out to Argentina to seal a deal for the 21-year-old, but with the youngster declaring he wanted to stay with River for their Copa Libertadores campaign, Benfica stole a march.

Wolves are still waiting to make their first signing of the summer transfer window.

Tavares transfer “really difficult”

Atalanta director Lee Congerton admits the Serie A outfit do have some interest in Arsenal full-back Nuno Tavares, but says it will be hard to sign him.

Tavares only signed for the Gunners last summer, but after a difficult first season, reports have claimed he could leave on loan. Atalanta have been touted as a potential destination, with Congerton speaking on their interest.

“I’ve followed Tavares since he was playing for Benfica’s youth team, he’s a strong player,” Congerton explained. “But Tavares is under contract with Arsenal – and it’s really difficult to sign players from Premier League clubs.”

Arsenal youngster heads out on loan

Arsenal academy graduate Tyreece John-Jules has joined Ipswich on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old had unsuccessful loans with Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday last term and will now ply his trade in League One with the Tractor Boys.

Bergwijn ‘almost certain’ to leave Spurs

Reports in the Netherlands claim Steven Bergwijn’s move to Ajax is ‘almost certain’ to be completed.

Bergwijn has made it perfectly clear he wants to leave Tottenham having failed to ever earn a regular starting berth in North London. And he looks set to get his wish with Ajax ready to smash their transfer record to sign him.

De Telegraaf journalist Mike Verweij (via Sport Witness) has said that while a deal may take some time to be finalised, his exit looks all but certain to happen.

Man Utd hoping to offload three defenders

Man Utd are hoping to offload Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe this summer – meaning Erik ten Hag could bring in one more central defender.

It has been reported that central midfield is the Dutchman’s top priority and despite their leaky record, the sheer number of centre-backs prohibited a big splash.

But Mail Sport report that if they can upload fringe players it could enable him to bring in one more defender to fight for a place alongside Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof.

Mane avoids Lewandowski question

Sadio Mane cut a relaxed figure in his official unveiling as a Bayern Munich question and raised a few laughs in his careful navigation of a Robert Lewandowski question. Mane’s arrival has done little to quash speculation regarding the future of his new strike partner, but he was quick to point a query over the Polish international to Julian Nagelsmann.

“The right person to answer is here, the boss,” Mane joked. “I’m one of the lucky players who can play three or four positions on the pitch. I’m comfortable with all the positions and as long as the coach is happy with me not in defence or goalkeeper, I’m happy to play in every position.”

Spurs inform Leeds of Raphinha intention

Tottenham have now told Leeds they intend to bid for Raphinha, with the race for the Brazilian’s signature heating up, reports the Guardian.

Arsenal have already had a bid rejected for the 25-year-old and have kick started the race for his signature. Along with the two North London rivals, Barcelona remain hopeful of signing him having already agreed personal terms with the player.

Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the situation with the club’s new owner Todd Boehly hoping to make a splash.

Man Utd in talks with Bachmann

Man Utd have opened talks with Watford over the signing of goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann.

The Austrian international has been earmarked as an option to back-up David de Gea with Dean Henderson set to leave Old Trafford.

Henderson is closing in a move to Nottingham Forest, meaning Tom Heaton would be the only senior stopper behind the Spaniard. Bachmann has previously confirmed an approach has been made, but did suggest he would be happy to stay with the Hornets despite relegation to the Championship.

Tielemans latest

With Dewsbury-Hall closing in on a new deal, there could be more positive news for Leicester fans, with Arsenal reportedly ‘cooling’ their interest in Youri Tielemans.

The Belgian has just one year remaining on his current deal and had looked destined to make the switch to North London. But while there are admirers from the Emirates, any move for another midfielder is on the backburner as they go in pursuit of a striker. That could open the door for the Foxes to try and secure the former Monaco star to a new contract.

Gareth Bale holds Cardiff talks

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale could potentially be set to secure an emotional switch to Cardiff City after he was reportedly shown the club’s facilities and meeting boss Steve Morison.

According to Wales Online, he visited the club;’s training base on Tuesday and spoke with Morison for the first time. He is now apparently set to go on holiday before deciding on where his future lies having departed the Santiago Bernabeu.

Leicester star signs new long-term deal

Leicester starlet Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has reportedly agreed to a new five-year deal at the King Power Stadium.

The midfielder enjoyed a breakout campaign in the East Midlands last term, with Brendan Rodgers rewarding his performances with a new and improved deal that will run until 2027 according to talkSPORT.

Everton hold Harry Winks talks

Everton have reportedly held talks with Tottenham Hotspur regarding the signing of Harry Winks.

The Toffees have been linked with a move for the midfielder for weeks, with Frank Lampard aiming to bolster his squad following an awful season. According to the Liverpool Echo, discussions have been held between the two clubs and remain at an early stage.

Juventus eye Neymar swoop

Juventus are being linked with a sensational move for Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar.

According to Sport, Juve boss Max Allegri has requested that that the Italian giants make a move for the Brazilian whilst a return for Man United star Cristiano Ronaldo has not been ruled out either.

Mkhitaryan close to Inter move

AS Roma are set to lose the services of Henrikh Mkhitaryan. with a move to Inter Milan in the offing.

The Armenian midfielder is out of contract this summer and according to Fabrizio Romano, he has undergone a medical with the San Siro and will be confirmed as an Inter player sooner rather than later.

Newcastle set to bid for Brazilian wonderkid

Another Brazilian forward who could potentially be set to play for a Premier League club next season is Santos starlet Angelo Gabriel.

According to numerous reports in Brazil, Newcastle United are set to bid for the 17-year-old however there will be a delay. Due to FIFA rules, he has to wait until he is 18 before leaving Santos, with the first chance being the January transfer window.

He has been compared to Brazil icon Neymar in the past.

Leeds reject opening Raphinha offer

Leeds United have reportedly rejected Arsenal’s opening offer for Brazilian winger Raphinha.

The Gunners are interested in a deal for the wideman this summer with Mikel Arteta keen to bolster his attacking options ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. They made their first efforts to sign him on Tuesday evening but that offer was rejected out of hand with apparently being considerably lower than Leeds’ valuation according to The Athletic.

Inter schedule Lukaku medical

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is apparently sey to undergo his medical with Inter Milan next week ahead of his return to the San Siro.

The Blues have already found an agreement with the Italian giants regarding a season-long loan deal and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, his medical checks will take place next week although an official announcement could come sooner.

Edinson Cavani eyes Spain switch

From one Man Utd veteran forward to another now as Edinson Cavani plots his next career move.

The Uruguayan has departed Old Trafford at the end of his contract and is available on a free transfer. Despite previous links with Boca Juniors, Marca have suggested that he has offered his services to Spanish side Rayo Vallecano.

Should he be offered a contract, he would be part of a strike force alongside Radamel Falcao.

Ronaldo considering Man Utd exit

Cristiano Ronaldo could reportedly leave Man United this summer with the Portuguese superstar disappointed over the club’s lack of transfer business thus far.

According to reports in Spain, he is concerned over the fact that there have been no new arrivals at Old Trafford so far this season and could look for a route out of the club should the situation not change.
