Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has weighed in on the Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo debate.
Despite the pair not being at the top of their game any more, the question is still asked as much as ever.
However, France international Pogba insists that he can not decide between the raw talent of Messi and the hard working, athleticism of Ronaldo.
“It’s a nice but tricky question, as there is no best for me,” Pogba said as part of a Q&A in United’s matchday programme. “Two different players.
“They are two players who both bring joy to watch. Any people are going to have their own opinion of them, just two legends.
“Me, I would just say they are two legends and not one is better than the other one.
“Just two people that give us football players, or football lovers, joy to watch.”
Pogba was also quizzed on the toughest opponent he has ever come up against.
And the 28-year-old picked two tireless defensive-midfielders, one of which he has played alongside as part of a World Cup-winning side.
“My toughest opponent on the pitch?” he went on. “To be honest, it’s tough against N’Golo Kante. Casemiro too, he is a hard one also.
“I can’t remember all of them – they’re the first ones that come into mind, that I had.

“Yes, those are the first ones, maybe there are a few more players but I don’t have the names now.”
Pogba will be back in action on Thursday night when United look to book their place in the final of the Europa League against Roma.
The Red Devils won the first leg last week 6-2 at home, meaning they have a huge advantage going into the trip to Italy.
