Manchester City’s chase for a top-class striker could be coming to a close after the club have reportedly had good news in their pursuits of two world stars.
Pep Guardiola has been in the market for a new centre-forward ever since Sergio Aguero departed the Etihad Stadium last summer as he moved to Barcelona.
The club were linked with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, but a move for the England captain fell through as Spurs chairman Daniel Levy refused to lower his monumental asking price.
But if recent reports are to be believed, Guardiola will have a choice between Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix.

The report claims Atletico could be interested in selling the striker in order to fnd a move for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.
City boss Guardiola is believed to be a keen admirer of Felix, who moved to Madrid in a massive £113m deal in 2019, and could turn to the Portuguese star to solve his problems up front.

Real Madrid are also reported to be very interested in signing the Norweigian striker, who has bagged 12 goals in 15 caps for his country and 125 club goals already at the age of 21.
Reports have suggested he could yet stay in Germany for one more season, with his club Dortmund keen to renegotiate his contract in the coming months.
According to Sky Sports, Haaland will “decide his future in the next fortnight”, with Dortmund sitting down with the player “in the next few weeks” to discuss his deal.
