Liverpool’s preparations for the upcoming campaign are well underway, with Jurgen Klopp’s squad currently at a pre-season camp in Austria.
The Reds are looking to challenge for silverware once again next season and they have already strengthened their defence, signing Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig for £36m.
Liverpool are targeting further additions and they are also looking to tie down a number of key players to new contracts.
Several fringe players are also expected to leave the club this summer, with Liverpool looking to raise funds to finance new signings.
With that in mind, here are the latest rumours around Liverpool.
Grujic completes permanent exit
Klopp’s first signing as Liverpool boss back in January 2016, Marko Grujic has sealed a £10.5m move to Porto.
Grujic spent last season on loan at the Portuguese club and impressed, making a total of 39 appearances in all competitions.
Speaking to Porto’s official website, Grujic said: “I’m really happy. I did everything I could to return to FC Porto and I am very happy that this day has arrived.
“The clubs reached an agreement and returning to FC Porto was the most important thing for me, as I felt very good here last season.”
Awoniyi nearing Union Berlin move
23-year-old striker Taiwo Awoniyi is reportedly set to follow Grujic out the door, with the Liverpool Echo reporting that Liverpool have accepted a £6.5m bid from Union Berlin.
The report states that the deal contains a 10% sell-on clause and Liverpool will earn a significant profit, having signed Awoniyi from Imperial Soccer Academy in 2015 for just £300,000.
Mainz had also been interested in the forward, while the likes of Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham had all been linked with his services.
However, there were no concrete approaches from the English clubs, according to the Athletic, and Awoniyi is set to rejoin Union Berlin.
He spent last season there on loan and netted a total of five Bundesliga goals in 21 appearances.
Leicester to ‘offer Tielemans bumper new deal’
The Belgium international has impressed since making the move to the King Power stadium, notably scoring the winning goal in Leicester’s FA Cup final win over Chelsea last season.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for the midfielder, with the Reds looking to replace Georginio Wijnaldum who has left to join Paris Saint-Germain.
Tielemans has just two years left on his current deal and Leicester are said to be preparing to offer him a bumper extension when he returns from holiday.
It is claimed that the new deal would see Tielemans become one of Leicester’s top earners, with Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel currently earning over £100,000-a-week.
